What is an e-suburb and why should you implement it
An e-suburb can be thought of as an electronic version of a residential estate where like-minded people build their homes according to similar design principles. But the difference here is that linking between these “houses” will be bountiful in order to boost search engine optimisation. Each “house” must share a common theme so that value is added to the user’s experience.
By placing your site as the “community hall” and having each “house” (see Fig. 1) be interlinked to your own will greatly extend the visibility of not only your site but also all of those connected to you. By way of example let us look at the implementation for the Rose Society of South Africa (see Fig.2). Neutrog SA has sponsored the blog (see Fig. 3) and it has therefore been themed according to their corporate image and wishes while still maintaining the design guidelines of the home page.
